Texas in May

We made the last flight in the BBB this month, leaving PaaMul on the 6th of May to head back to Texas. Such a loooong trip!! Since we now have our casita built under the palapa, we no longer need to keep the bus down south. She will be stored and waiting on us at our former home, now our daughter's home. So now, we will just fly back and forth to Cancun and it will be a short bus trip back to PM.

So far, we have stayed out at our own local lake, Wright Patman Lake. It is a corp of Engineer lake and the camp grounds are so pretty. Lots of deer and wildlife and the birds are everywhere. Lots of migrants are still around, like summer tanangers and goldfinches in transition plumage. Pete is driving into his office every day so I can enjoy time here. We saw one of our granddaughters graduate from high school last Sat. and another graduates here tomorrow (Friday). They are so lovely and we are so very proud of them. Both honor graduates and going off to college in the fall with great scholarships.
We will be returning to Paradise June 10th. We are so ready. It is great to see the family but they have their own lives and we have ours. Cindy and Diana are flying down with us to help us furnish our little place. Really, they are just needing a break and we love to have them come down.
